Hey everyone! I hope everyone is doing great back in America. I am doing great here actually. This week has been an eye opener for me. Before, I have been kinda down with all the stress of the garden and preparing for the new season and crop. I had to get all the land plowed and dug and mixed by hand. and the plot is roughly about at least 40x40 square feet. Thats is a lot of work. So I have been tired with the kids and just sore in general. I asked for prayer from some people about my ministry and giving me strength. Well I'll start with when I was reading one of my books and this quote comes out and hits me hard. It says " If we don't wake up every morning and die to ourselves and giving it to God, then we should really be asking if we are Christians". That sentence just really got me thinking of what I am here for and were my heart needs to be. I prayed to God asking for help with the garden or just for support and this team of 21 people come in on a Tuesday ( my main full day to work in the garden) and ask what is needed to be done in the garden. They plowed the whole thing and weeded the tomatoes. One of the guys comes up to me and says "it's really raining today ya?". I was so confused but then finally realized, with a duh look, what he meant was that it is really raining of God's blessings today. I now am planing on a walkway path for the garden using bricks and possibly a fence as well in the future. I want to thank you all that have been praying for me and also helping me in the garden (thanks family j-bay).
On a side note all my pains are gone and I feel so energized even after a day with kids. I am also considering becoming a volunteer fireman for J-bay. It is a really hot and dry season right now since it is after the summer and there was one fire coming over to Ithemba the other day. So ya if you guys can pray for me on that as well if this is what God wants me to do as a part ministry. Here are some pictures of the garden before and after and some of the kids at Ithemba. Enjoy and God Bless you guys. Later there
Ty
