Hey everyone. I am just updating on my life quickly. Umm well I have gotten the garden started for a new crop now. It's a little late in the season but hopefully it will grow great so if everyone can pray for good weather and all haha. But that garden has been quite challenging actually. A lot of work needed in that piece of land. but the efforts are so worth it though. The kids have been great lately. They finally are now seeing the boundaries  of behavior. Kids will be kids but some of them are not getting that discipline or boundaries at home. So its good to show them that. Sometimes it has to be hard love and show them that  they can't get away with everything.  I would tell them to stay out of the garden  and they would do the  "one foot in" and see how long they would get away with it and run away.  But now when they turn around , they see a  tall white guy right behind them and then the fake tears fall out. But they are starting to get the point that we need to respect others and especially ourselves. I had a sex talk with some of the older boys and that was interesting to say the least. Just the misconceptions that they have of it. They think sex is all good and then some think its bad until you're married and some think its a particular age and then it's the green light.  We quickly went over about glue sniffing since it's huge right now here in J-bay and they honestly think that it won't kill you if you sniff the stuff. So they had a shock when I told them the truth about the after effects of doing drugs and alcohol a lot for a long period of time. They asked if they could have my cell number if needed anything or help with something and I gave it but I am assuming that I will get at least a few prank calls but at least I'm giving the help offer to them. They are really a funny bunch of guys and also one of them loves how my hair is soft so I told him to grow it out for 3 months and we'll make a hair experiment with his so that should be fun. Ya please pray for the boys at Ithemba and pray for me for energy in the garden and John my friend that helps as well and he's 77! Thanks for reading my blogs.
p.s I am surfing more now and today, one of my S.A friend, Paul, took me surfing this morning early near sunrise and now I am supper tired and cut up as well from the rocks ouch. with a sore butt but I will get it in due time. I can stand up on some but still need work. Surf season just started so I got to get better now. Cheers everyone.
